Community Cooking spots

During my travels I've come across many bbq sites utilised mostly by the impoverished in our community due to the focus on the wrong end of the community.

What I propose is thousands of these cooking spots to be created instead of giving handouts to anyone by the government who receives taxes from all.

Each cooking spot should have a covered area rooved with solar panels feeding back into the utility grid where possible.

Underneath would be electric BBQ's set at various heights allowing people in wheelchairs and all others to use them.

This roof would be guttered to a tank which is constantly purified by means of a simple evap wall on one side of the shelter.

Trees & other high growing shrubs would be kept at a distance from this in order to prevent bushfire & other problems with the leaves, etc from same.

There would be smooth cycleways done in bitumen, not concrete & bricks which discriminate against those with walking disabilities, linking these cooking spots to roadways with clear access for all including police/ambulance/road sweepers/etc to assist those in need & to maintain the structures/peace.

If need be cameras & warning signs should be erected to convince trailbike riders & other polluting persons that the area is monitored & not a race way for them with fines/confiscation of vechiles from those who abuse such facilities.

However making it accessable for all which encourages masses of people would deter the abusers who would seek out the seclusion & inaccessable paths such as those found in the suburbs of gosnells/Kenwick/etc

Accessable selfsustainable toilets should also be placed nearby & monitored regularly by passing rangers/police/etc to keep them safe from perverts & those who prey on the vulnerable rather then locked up out of *business hours* for only the effluent in society to use who currently absorb all the resources at our expense.

Local tribes indigenous to the area prior to European invasion should be consulted as to the best placement & the best species of food bearing plants to be cultivated nearby with appropriate knowledge also displayed using various technologies.

For the purposes of safety & education each structure should also house a wireless mesh type network extender connecting each together with an emergency call button on each connected directly to 000 without needing a telephone to communicate.

This mesh 802.11 network would allow communication with other structures & also be able to retrieve information regarding local native flora/fauna & directions to other structures including distance via pda's equipped with 802.11 not requiring expensive byte charged telephone connectivity.

Doing the above would not only allow those of us who are socio economically challenged to survive, it would also become a tourist attraction to those seeking knowledge, etc, showing Australias true biodiversity to all for generations to come before the knowledge & species are lost to the introduced noxious weeds/pests still sold around Aus.

I also think it's the correct thing to do.

We all have to share this rock & a few things can be learnt from the people with their shared use of this continent for thousands of years before it was invaded.
