Designing, building and launching High Altitude Balloons and the associated payloads is highly demanding and requires many skill-sets. There are many challenges. Nevertheless, with careful planning and thorough testing we are making good progress; resolving issues that come to light. We are continually trying to identify areas of risk and incorporate measures to address these potential issues.
The aim of the project is to :-
- To successfully launch and recover a High Altitude Balloon.
- To get some expertise in the area of electronics, aeronautics, design
- Collect atmospheric data and perform visual observations
- To Inspire others
